The farm “Il Santo”, once property of the Hospital “Santa Maria della Scala”, is situated 3 km from the motorway Siena/Grosseto amidst the green hills of Siena within the nature reserve of the Merse valley.
It covers an area of about 1300 hectares where past and present mingle and let those who come here escape from the everyday reality and dive into a quiet rich sound.
Beyond the hamlet “Il Santo”, the vivid centre of the farm, you will find other country houses: some of them have already been reconstructed and furnished in Tuscany style with a beautiful panoramic view over the meadows and the green hills.

This wonderful landscape is framed by the rivers Farma and Merse where the wild animals come to water: wild boar, dear, fox, porcupine, fallow-dear…

In the hamlet there’s also the church of St. Filippo and Giacomo where the Holy Mass is held in a contest of a fabulous reality.
There are many possibilities to live nature: walking and hiking on foot, on horseback or mountain bike, fishing in our lake or in the nearby rivers, walking up the river Farma to reach the natural pools and bath in the therapeutic waters of the old hot springs of Petriolo.

Since ages, “Il Santo” is also a famous reserve for hunting.
